Dear tourists, our Huzhu County has a "Hua Er", which just reflects Huzhu people's love for Weiyuan highland barley liquor.

More than 400 years ago, before late Ming and early Qing dynasties, there had been the history of making liquor with highland barley as the material, and such a kind of highland barley liquor made in a folk method is called Mingliu liquor. In late Ming and early Qing dynasties, merchants from Shanxi, the producing area of Fenjiu liquor, established "Weiyuan Liquor Workshop" in Weiyuan. They integrated the Mingliu liquor brewing technique of Xinghua Village and the local Tu, took highland barley as the raw material and used the natural well water from "Weiyuan Ancient Well" to elaborately brew liquor, and finally mellow and lucent "Weiyuan liquor" was born and became famous.

Weiyuan liquor features clear color, pure and fresh mouth feel and lingering aftertaste. You will not get a headache and not feel dry mouth after drinking it. Weiyuan liquor has its own unique flavor, as a saying goes "Weiyuan liquor sends out aroma throughout the way and can make travelers drunk even if 10 miles away".
