 Living Buddha Temple

Tu people believe in Tibetan Buddhism, keep Saman customs, regard "heaven" as paramount, and believe in the view that man is an integral part of nature.

Living Buddha Temple is a religious activity place of Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism and the temporary imperial palace of famous Quexi Living Buddha of the famous religious temple – Ta'er Lamasery. The Living Buddha Temple is a standard temple building, where you can not only learn about religious culture of Tu but also burn incense, recite scriptures for consecration and pray for happiness and peace.

Before entering the temple, you need to pay attention to the following taboos: first, do not point at the statue of Buddha with your index finger but point by drawing your five fingers together with your palm up, otherwise it shows your disrespect to the Buddha. Second, do not step on the threshold of the Buddhist halls. Third, take off your hat before the statue of Buddha, and do not take photos and smoke. Fourth, visit and worship clockwise in the temple.
